The Pensions Authority has introduced minimum competency requirements for trustees.
On Thursday 18th November 2021, the Pensions Authority published its Code of Practice for trustees of occupational pension schemes and trust RACs. This Code includes a requirement that at least one trustee on the board, or one director of a sole corporate trustee meets new minimum education requirements.
LIA's PTP (Certificate in DC Pension Scheme Trusteeship) is one of only two qualifications named by the Pensions Authority as meeting these minimum requirements.

The PTP course comprises two modules, but existing QFA holders are exempt from the first module so will have only one module to complete to earn the PTP (Pensions Trustee Practitioner) designation. The module price is €465 and our next exam sitting is May 2022 (the closing date for registrations is Friday 4th March 2022).
