Summary  

The AML Risk Assessment course is a comprehensive online training course aimed at providing Credit Union Compliance Officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to complete the annual Risk Assessment. 

Taking a very practical hands-on approach, this course will set out a sound methodology and provide a step-by-step guide to conducting the annual risk assessment, reporting it, and then ensuring that a Credit Union’s Anti-Money Laundering policy, procedures and resource deployment are correctly aligned with the risks.

  • Understand the AML/CFT* risk factors applying to credit union products, services and operations 

  • Conduct and report the business-wide risk assessment 

  • Identify the AML/CFT risk factors applying to members and transactions; conduct and report the associated inherent risk

  • Calibrate appropriate controls and risk responses and reflect these in policy and procedure 

  • Optimise AML/CFT function resource deployment and maximise control efficacy 

  • Appreciate the importance of concise, accurate and informative reporting on the conduct and outcomes of the risk assessment
