LIA is delighted to announce the launch of a new online AML Risk Assessment training course.
Aimed at providing those working in Credit Union Risk and Compliance roles with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to complete the annual AML Risk Assessment, this course would also enhance the knowledge of those (including Board members) who wish to understand the outputs of the AML Risk Assessment and develop individual skillsets within the organisation.
Split into 8 short module webinars and quizzes, this course can be completed in your own time and at your own pace and is available year-round at a total cost of just €375.
Taking a very practical “hands-on” approach, the course will set out a sound methodology and provide a step-by-step guide to conducting the annual Risk Assessment, reporting it, and then ensuring that your AML policy, procedures and resource deployment are correctly aligned with the risks.
Speaking about the launch of the new training course, LIA CEO Joanne Keane said:
"We are delighted to be launching this course today following consultation with our colleagues in the Credit Union movement. Many Credit Unions have historically had to outsource the completion of the annual Risk Assessment because of a lack of specific training in this important area. We hope that LIA’s new training course will help close that gap, and equip Credit Union Risk and Compliance Officers with the knowledge and skills needed to complete the Risk Assessment themselves."
More information about this course can be found here and LIA is now accepting applications!
