LIA is delighted to announce the arrival of a brand new CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ education programme for Ireland. Our newly-developed Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning has been approved by FPSB Ireland as a gateway to the CFP® Certification Exam.
Commencing in September 2021, this 18-month programme is specially designed for qualified Professionals who wish to become expert Financial Planners.
Developed in conjunction with leading industry experts, the programme content is practical, relevant and immediately transferable to your professional practice. You’ll build on the skills you’ve already acquired and broaden your technical knowledge in investment, taxation, succession and estate planning, retirement planning and client engagement skills.
The course consists of six modules:

3.Investment Management

4.Tax and Estate Planning

5.Retirement Planning

6.Integrated Personal Financial Planning
This level 9 course is lecture-based with two modules per term. These lectures, are currently taking place online meaning you can now complete this course without having to worry about travel time (this may change in due course for some modules if pandemic restrictions are sufficiently relaxed).
What's more, you will earn LIA's prestigious Retirement Planning Adviser (RPA) and Specialist Investment Adviser (SIA) designations en route to the full Diploma! On successful completion of all six modules you will receive the Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Financial Planning from IT Sligo and will be eligible to apply for entry to the CFP® Certification Exam with FPSB Ireland.
