To all our students sitting exams on  25th of January, we wish you the very best of luck! You've put in the hard work and dedication; now it's time to demonstrate what you've learned.

All exams will proceed as scheduled tomorrow, 25th January 2025. Please ensure you attend your exam at the scheduled time. We understand this is a stressful time for students and appreciate your patience. We are closely monitoring ESB Networks power outage updates. Please see below for instructions on what to do if a power or internet outage prevents you from sitting your exam.

Power and Internet Outage due to Storm Eowyn

If power or internet will not be restored at your scheduled exam time, please log a report using this link. This report can be completed from 5pm, Friday 24th January 2025.  A member of the education team will contact you on Monday, 27th January, to discuss next steps. Top Tips for a Successful Exam Experience

1. Use a Personal Laptop or PC
For a smooth exam experience, we recommend using a personal laptop or desktop computer. Work devices usually have restrictions on them which can cause technical issues. Please also ensure you are not connected to a work VPN or Wi-Fi connection.
Ensure you are familiar with the content of the Online exam user guide which can be found here. This guide provides useful information including what to expect on the exam day, permitted items and FAQs.

2. Test Your Technology
Before exam day, ensure that your computer, internet connection, and any required software, such as Microsoft Word or a PDF reader is installed and functioning properly. Check that your camera and microphone are functioning if needed. Check your exam start time and have your Proctor Exam link available.

3. Create a Comfortable Workspace
Set up a quiet, comfortable, and well-lit workspace. Ensure that you have all necessary materials at hand – pen, paper, and calculator if allowed. Your exam start time is the time you have been provided by email (ensure you start your exam at this time).

4. Read All Instructions Carefully
Once the exam starts, read through the instructions carefully. Make sure you understand what is expected before you begin answering questions.

5. Manage Your Time
Keep an eye on the clock and allocate your time wisely across questions. If you get stuck, move on and return to tougher questions later.

6. Reach Out for Support
Remember, our team is here to support you on the day of the exam. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you encounter any issues or have last-minute questions.

                                                                          Good Luck!
