Donal Motherway
Donal Motherway (Cert. DP (IPA), BSc, MSc [Educ. Mgmt.]) worked as an education sector manager and has extensive business management, project management, and logistics experience. Having qualified as a Data Protection Practitioner in 2018, he leads a team providing outsourced DPO services for fifteen credit unions, and advises others, as well as medical/health insurance, legal practices, and transport sector clients. Donal’s recent relevant assignments include co-ordinating and conducting data purges, establishing new filing protocols, preparing process maps, answering DARs, investigating data breach reports, generation of DPIA’s and documentary support for various new technologies across multiple organisations, including the development of scanning protocols to support a move to ‘electronic only’ records. Donal also trains on DP for the LIA, and for credit unions at Chapter level, and with CUDA.
