LIA is delighted to announce that Mark Hedderman CFP® was inaugurated as LIA President at our AGM on 4th April, following Joe Creegan’s 12-month tenure. Mark, an active member of LIA for well over a decade and CEO of Hedderman Financial Solutions (“HFS”), brings a wealth of knowledge of the Finance profession to the role. A multifaceted professional, he holds the QFA, SIA and RPA designations as well as being a CFP professional. Mark is both the youngest LIA President to date, and the first second-generation holder of the role, with his father Maurice having been LIA President in 2007.
Commenting on his inauguration, Mark said:
“In many ways I feel like my career has evolved in harmony with LIA – essentially joining an ‘industry’ back in 2011 and now proud to state that I work in a ‘profession’, a testimony, in no small part, to LIA’s commitment to driving standards. I look forward to working with LIA and its Board as it continues to drive the standards of financial advice available in Ireland to ever higher levels, and to build on its key strategic partnerships. I also hope to help drive home the message to consumers that those who work with financial advisers and planners have a much greater financial outcome than those who go it alone.”

Mark joined the family business in 2011 and describes his work with HFS as a journey of “continuous learning and growth, both personally and professionally”. He has previously served in the Reserve Defence Services which has helped influence his work ethic and disciplined approach. As well as his financial qualifications, Mark holds a degree in International Business and Languages from DIT.
