About the Role

As an Education Programme Adviser, you will support the delivery, quality, and continuous improvement of LIA’s academic programmes and short courses. You will assist both current and prospective students, helping them understand their options and guiding them towards suitable learning pathways.  

You will coordinate exams, maintain accurate records, assist students throughout the academic cycle, and support a broad range of activities that ensure a positive learning experience for our members and students. The role involves daily interaction with students, lecturers, correctors, and internal teams, and requires strong organisational skills, sound judgement, a consistent standard of professionalism and the ability to work independently.  

You will report to the Education Department Manager and work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including academic partners such as ATU (Atlantic Technological University).

Key Responsibilities

Exam & Programme Administration

  • Coordinate all exam processes, from scheduling to results administration.
  • Review exam papers with module coordinators and ensure exam integrity.
  • Manage course completions, maintain accurate student records, and process payments for contracted educators.

Student Support

  • Act as a primary contact for student queries via phone, email, and live chat.
  • Provide clear guidance on Level 7, Level 9, and short courses.
  • Support students during peak periods, including exam days and masterclasses.
  • Respond to enquiries from prospective students and provide clear, accurate information that supports them in deciding whether an LIA programme is right for them.
  • Work collaboratively with the Education and Marketing teams to ensure prospective students receive timely and helpful guidance.

Content & Quality Assurance

  • Proof read and format-check educational materials.  
  • Support updates to learning resources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Liaise with correctors and academic staff to ensure fair and accurate assessments.

Stakeholder & Event Coordination

  • Liaise with academic partners, including ATU Sligo, to support programme delivery.
  • Organise Pre-Board meetings, track actions.
  • Coordinate Revision Masterclasses, inductions, and graduation events.
  • Assist in producing educational content to LIA standards.

What We’re Looking For –

Essential Requirements

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, delivered in a warm, professional, customer focused manner.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and programme administration.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a comparable role.  
  • Proven track record of being very organised and delivering to tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Data analysis experience.
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in education administration or programme coordination (advantageous).
  • Confidence using CRM/LMS systems and Microsoft Office; comfortable adopting new technologies, including AI tools, to streamline tasks.

Salary:

€35,000 - €40,000 (depending on experience)
