Olga Daly FIA FSAI
Olga is an independent consulting actuary who has specialised for over 10 years in providing pension advice to family lawyers and their clients within family law cases. This advice can include pension valuations and reports, settlement options, pension tax advice, giving actuarial expert witness evidence and all aspects of Pension Adjustment Orders. Olga also provides actuarial advice in relation to personal injury and pension employment cases. Prior to specialising in actuarial legal work, Olga was a director of AdviserPlus, providing technology and research support to financial advisers and previous to this worked as a (life and health) actuary with Willis Towers Watson, GE Capital (now Swiss Re) and Bank of Ireland Life.
A maths graduate of TCD, she qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) in 1998 and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (FSAI), a QFA member of the LIA and an associate member of the Family Lawyers Association. Olga was involved for many years with both LIA’s Retirement Provision and the Retirement Planning Advice (RPA) courses as a corrector and then as the external examiner. She also lectured in UCD in Actuarial Maths in 2004 & 2005. She also assists LIA with the production of the members’ Fact Sheet which accompanies every issue of the Financial Professional.
