Professional Certificate and Diploma in Compliance (LCOI)

The Professional Certificate and Professional Diploma in Compliance are offered by LIA in partnership with the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI), The Insurance Institute of Ireland and The Institute of Banking (IOB).

The IOB will look after the adminstration of this course and if you are looking for more detailed information you can contact them directly  here.

The Professional Certificate in Compliance is awarded on successful completion of the first two modules (PDC 1 & PDC 2) with the Professional Diploma in Compliance  awarded on successful completion of the final two modules (PDC 3 & PDC 4).

The Professional Diploma in Compliance and attaching LCOI designation satisfies the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code for those who ‘adjudicate on any complaint communicated to a regulated firm by a consumer which relates to advice about a retail financial product provided to that consumer or the arranging of a retail financial product for that consumer’. Holders of the Diploma are invited to apply for the LCOI designation. Continued use of the designation is subject to meeting annual CPD requirements.

The Professional Certificate, a Level 7 qualification in its own right, introduces candidates to the theory of regulation and to its application to the financial services industry. It also describes the operation of the various regulatory systems within Ireland and internationally.

The Professional Diploma, also a Level 7 qualification, is the benchmark qualification for compliance professionals in all sectors of the financial services industry. It is designed for people who work (or who aspire to work) in a management or professional capacity within a Compliance function in financial services.
