LIA - The Professional Association for Financial Services in Ireland

MDRT is a worldwide organisation with over 35,750 members represented in 76 countries. The MDRT mission is:

“To be a valued, member-driven international network of leading insurance and investment financial services professionals/advisors who serve their clients by exemplary performance and the highest standards of ethics, knowledge, service and productivity.”

In 1978 the first member from MDRT Ireland attended the Annual Meeting in the US. A large group travelled to the 1981 Annual Meeting in New York, and some of that group and others have attended each year since.

Membership of MDRT is based on a number of factors including the attainment of a set production level each year. Attending the Annual Meeting, listening to a huge variety of presentations, generally in the company of 7,000 others, is regarded as a very special experience, and one that has to be experienced to get an understanding of what many often describe as “a life changing event”.

LIA are happy to work in partnership with MDRT in order to bring the benefits of MDRT membership to Irish members.
