Exemptions

Exemptions

Exemptions are awarded on the basis of academic equivalence, where there is an overlap in course content of 80% or more between the module(s) completed by the student and those of the LIA module(s).

If the qualification you hold is listed on the QFA table of exemptions, please download and complete the QFA exemption application form and return it to us with a transcript of your results and the appropriate fee. If the qualification you hold is not listed on the table of exemptions and you still wish to pursue your request, please download the exemption application form returning it to LIA with a transcript of your results, a copy of the syllabus in question and the appropriate fee.

Alternatively if you are applying for an exemption from one of the business subjects and are satisfied that your qualification overlaps sufficiently in content, please download the relevant application form and return it to us with a transcript of your results, a copy of the syllabus and the appropriate fee.

Please note:

  • Exemption application fees are non refundable regardless of the outcome of the decision.
  • Exemption requests may take up to one month to be administered.
